Art Garfunkel's original 1973 rendition for his solo debut album, Angel Clare, is the most well-known and the highest-charting version, peaking at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Easy Listening chart for four weeks in October 1973.[1] It was the first song ever released as a quadraphonic single.[2]
